I have had a history of tendinitis in my heals to the point where I could hardly walk. My podiatrist has advised me to wear only Birkenstocks but I live in upstate NY so that is not practical. I was about to throw out all my heels but the heeled footbed has made it possible for me to wear my other shoes as well without pain!!!

These are great. They really make shoes with no support feel 100% better. Think they'd go in a higher than 1-1/2 shoe, but don't know how high.

I bought these for my boots, which are lovely, but lack arch support for my feet -- I need more than most. I was reluctant to spend what turned out to be $40, but I have to say, it was worth it. I can walk around in the boots all day with no pain. I liked them so much, I picked up a second pair for my other boots.

These will fit into low heeled shoes or boots that the regular blue footbed insole will not. The arch seems to be slightly less pronounced and the front of the insole does not have the metatarsal bump. Not quite as supportive as the regular, but will fit into shoes that the regular will not.
