Birkenstocks for people with high arches

I've loved Birkenstocks, I have a pair that's been with me for 12 years now and they feel great. I have recently found out, by diagnosing serious ankle pain, that I have high arches, so I thought I'd get some high arch Birks. Well, aside from the fact that color and leather type are extremely limited with getting high arch Birks, the arch doesn't feel any higher than regular Birks. I got the same size as my regular Birks (43) and I had to punch a bunch of extra holes to get the straps to fit right. I don't feel that I get near the support I expected. I would think that a model that wasn't suede with a less soft footpad would offer better support. I am quite disappointed and now still have to wear regular shoes with inserts and only do the Birks on a limited basis. Oh well.

I love these shoes. I have plantar facitis (high arch) and someone at work recomended them. No the most attractive shoe but by far the most comfortable.

I bought this shoe, thinking that it would help alleviate my heel pain but it was painful to wear it. Perhaps because of not fitting properly (too big), the inside of my right heel always hurt, even after a few minutes use.

I got a pair of Birkenstock, shoes as a gift one year and I have got to say there are no other shoes like them, and now I am so spoiled with your brand I will not wear any other brand.
