My husband finds Birkenstock sandals are the only footwear he can be comfortable in without special inserts. I got the shoes so he could wear them in the non-sandal months.

I ordered this shoe simply because I believe in the quality of Birkenstock. Famous for their sandals, I researched and found the Alabama Leather "enclosed" shoe with all the features of the sandals, only fully enclosed. I needed an excellent shoe for my work as a chef, where I stand for 6 hours or more at a time. It provides me with support and comfort.
Wears this shoe: I wear it at work in a hotel/restaurant bakery.
