First, know that I am ordering a second pair. Second, these insoles are not SUPER cushy, but they are certainly adequately cushioned. In addition, they stay in place in the Birkies I am wearing them with; and finally, I fully expect them to enhance the Birkenstocks I have on order (which will have their own built-in arch supports.) I am so far very please with them.

I use these in my ballet shoes (soft ones) to cushion my feet when I dance. Because they're flexible I can still point my toes and yet there's still enough firmness for overall foot support, including the arch. This is my second pair. I can also cut them for a perfect fit. I would use them in regular shoes as well.
