Desert Hiker's soft nubuck leather upper with foam-backed nylon mesh is highly breathable. A built-in orthotic plate cradles and protects your foot. A thick, cushioned insole made of breathable memory foam wicks away moisture and is washable, and Superior Bio-Sole memory cushioning under the forefoot and heel is incredibly soft yet resilient.

You'll love this . . . I am 57, female, and my feet are usually a perfect men's size 9 (got my daddy's feet, you see) . . . I wear Z-Coils a lot, but I hike and jog on gravel and uneven terrain; plus I work with horses. I cannot wear my normal Z-Coils under these current conditions; so, I thought I'd give Bio-Trek a try. These shoes are so comfortable and cushioned all around. The built-in orthotics are fabulous. I'll put it this way . . . If my feet are happy, I'm happy!
