Betmar

Betmar, New York, was born in the depth of the Great Depression - the year was 1933 - hat business was flourishing in spite of the difficult economic times. The top salespeople in the business were Elizabeth and Murray Marks. Although successful on the sales end, they were in need of a strong factory. They sought a skilled manufacturer and found M. Grossman & Son, an old-line cap maker with roots dating back to 1911. Betmar, New York was born, the name taken from Betty Marks, who was the first designer. Within six months Betmar blossomed as a major brand around the country.

Stylish Way To Protect Your Face from the Sun!
By Paula, from Ohio | June 23, 2014

This hat is versatile, as you can adjust the brim. It is also very comfortable; I wear it all day at the lake. It stays on while boating. I have it in white & pink. Excellent quality allowing me to machine wash it & it retains it's shape. Simply the best.

Betmar Yulia $32.95
Womens Betmar Yulia

I had been looking for the Betmar sunshade and came across this hat. The brim is just the right size and can be up, down, or a combination. It is so feminine. It also travels well as you can squish it up in your purse or suitcase and it pops right out. I love having this hat for when it is windy as it keeps my hair from going every which way. I would definitely recommend this hat for all occasions.

Betmar Denise $36.95
Cute, roomy hat with full coverage and detachable bow
By smbfan, from East Coast | May 13, 2014

I purchased 4 styles of Betmar hats from Shoebuy and this hat was tied with another style as my favorite. I am undergoing chemo and needed some cute hats for the summer to hide my hair loss. This hat is perfect. It is super cute, lightweight (for the summer heat) and roomy. I have an average-size head (22-inch circumference) and this hat fit the loosest of the four hats I purchased - in a good way. It is secure, but not tight. I love the fit. Of the four Betmar styles I purchased, this hat provided the fullest coverage and best concealed my hair loss. I ordered this hat in natural and it is a good, neutral color. A little darker than khaki. It will go with everything. The other feature of this hat that I love is that the bow is lightly tacked on with 4 stitches (one at each end of the bow and one stitch at the top and bottom of the bow). It's very easy to remove the bow to accessorize the hat with a scarf or flower. If you want to put the bow back on the hat, it's easy to lightly tack it back with a needle and thread. Some of the Betmar hats attach accessories with strong glue and they are difficult to remove and leave a residue. I love how easy it was to remove the bow, if desired, on this hat. Great purchase. 5 stars.

The hat does not look like the website picture. It is very fuzzy. It also runs big .
