Perfect little bag

I bought this bag because it had two things that most other vertical laptop messengers its size don't have: a handle on the top and a shoulder pad on the strap. You can make the bag a backpack by threading the shoulder strap though a D-ring on the top back and hooking it to two smaller rings on the bottom. Some internet pics make the bag look almost green; others make it look very brown. The actual color of the brushed twill is a dull brown. It has the same shortcoming as most vertical bags: the pockets are very deep and don't open very far, so small objects are likely to disappear in the bottom. My iPhone 4 in its protective sleeve just barely fits in the exterior phone pocket--but it does fit. The pocket's too small for things like pens, sunglasses, etc. The carrying capacity of the bag is excellent for its size. I was worried taking it out of the box that it would be too small, but it currently contains a MacBook Air with power supply, an iPod 1, a folder of student papers, and a paperback War and Peace. That (sadly) is my life in a nutshell, and that's why I bought the bag.
