I am a 53 year old male, I served in the army. These are the best fitting boots I have ever owned in my entire life. They are also very comfortable and are exactly what I ordered. I am also very satisfied with the quality and workmanship, the boots are a-1. For those folks out there that worry about buying shoes online because you cannot try them on first, I say don't worry. You will get exactly what you ordered. This is the first time I ever bought footwear online in my life and I will not hesitate to order again.

I bought this boot because my job requires I have an eight inch boot. The first and greatest thing about this boot is if you, like I do, have to pass through a metal detector for work then your boots will not set them off. Second they are super light and uber comfortable, it was like having a second pair of socks on I couldn't even tell I was wearing them after they broke in. That leads my to my third point and only criticism of this boot. There is a small 3-5 day break in period with these boots. I wore them brand new out of the box to work and I don't know if it was because I was up and down stairs alot and the boot wasn't used to creasing at the ankle or if I just laced them to tight but for about 5 days I had a sharp pain in my right ankle after wearing them for my eight hour shift. However, I would highly recommend this boot to anyone who has to be on their feet for large amounts of their day, or if you are just looking for a lightweight tactical boot because you like the look of tactical boots.

Great boot so far. I have been wearing them every day for work and am very happy. I will say that they take a little time to break in though.

I inherited HORRIBLE feet: long, wide, flat, bunions, hammer toes, ingrown toenails (thanks, Mom). I live in New Balance shoes because I can get the size and width I need, but, they don't make an 8" black tactical boot. After much trial and error, I discovered Shoebuy.com, and Bates. Both AWESOME. These are INCREDIBLY comfortable boots, and are getting more comfortable the more I wear them. Sorry, New Balance, my feet now have a new best friend.
Wears this shoe: Hiking, motorcycling, just walking around!
