I have been wearing Bass Weejuns since I was a kid. They are even more comfortable now. They are the only true classic loafers left for women. All the others have been "updated" and do not look or fit the same. My most recent purchase was the Bass Washington. It is a Kiltie Tassel style loafer. The construction is excellent,the fit is excellent, the look is excellent. The appearance of the shoe leather is shiny almost but not quite like a patent leather which I don't really care for. But over all an excellent shoe. I will get many years of pleasurable wear from them.

While this is still a nice shoe, there are definite differences in overall quality since Weejuns bought out Bass. The shoe was bigger by 1/2 size, the heel was not as snug (which is important for those of us with narrow heels) and the leather was thinner than in my original Bass loafers. The shoe is nice and it will work for me, but it is truly a step down from the original Bass Washington loafer.

Nice shoe, stylish, comfortable. Stylish loafers are hard to find. This shoe fits everything I was looking for. Would probably buy every color if there were more color options.

I was pleased to be able to find the Bass loafers on your web site; I've worne them for years. One of the reviews for this loafer said the width ran wider than norm and I agree, but I just wear a thicker sock - length is good. These loafers are comfortable and good looking.
