Purchased to replace a similar shoe my son outgrew. Although Bass' last does not work well on my feet, my son seemed to have no issues with the size (9 1/2).He is very critical, but liked the shoe for his more "formal" use, rather than his sneakers.

The right shoe is of passable quality, but the left shoe looks and feels like a factory second (or third). On the left shoe, you can see that part of the sole sticks out about a quarter of an inch past the rest of the shoe. On the right shoe, the sole only sticks out about an eighth of an inch past the rest of the shoe. This didn't bother me too much until I'd worn the shoes for a little while, waiting for them to break in.The left shoe still feels too tight.

Nobody should be without these penny loafers. They're an inexpensive classic, and a great way to dress up the scruffiest pair of jeans, with or without socks. I've worn Weejuns for many many years. One thing to be aware of though: the toes of these shoes usually feel a little tight when I first put them on. After I wear them a couple times to break them in, they're quite comfortable.
Wears this shoe: Any time I'm not in sneakers or in dress shoes.
Nice shoe, but narrow--get the wide version

When I tried on the regular width shoe, I couldn't get my feet into it. I returned it (kudos to Shoebuy on how easy that is) and exchanged for the wider width. That's been much better. Sharp-looking, good value.
