| | About Barefoot: |
|---|
| | | Barefoot refers to footwear designed with a flexible, thin sole that is shaped like a foot in order to make the shoe feel more like bare feet than traditional shoe soles. These flexible soles allow feet to have a better sense and feel of the ground while still providing foot protection. Types of barefoot footwear include toe shoes, huaraches, racing flats, hiking flats, and running shoes. |

I absolutely love this shoe. I bought an older version, without the foot strap from Marshalls. I've fell in love with the barefoot movement and having my feet close to the ground. The shoe is cute, and I get all kinds of compliments about how comfy they look, which they are. When I first purchased these I was debating between a 9.5 and a 10. I usually go for 9.5 but I opted for a 10 and am glad that I did. Due to the "folded" nature of the shoe it does tend to "push" your feet forward a bit into the toe bed, so it is nicer to have the extra space of the 10. This is a shoe that takes a bit of getting used to. After a weekend of walking around in a foreign city thinking they were broken in my calves and knees aching! It's not only your feet that will get a workout! Make sure to really practice walking in these before any travel so you know how barefoot walking will affect your gait and what may hurt. I would not wear these hiking or anywhere I anticipate extremely uneven terrain due to the barefoot nature, but that's person choice.
