| | About Barefoot: |
|---|
| | | Barefoot refers to footwear designed with a flexible, thin sole that is shaped like a foot in order to make the shoe feel more like bare feet than traditional shoe soles. These flexible soles allow feet to have a better sense and feel of the ground while still providing foot protection. Types of barefoot footwear include toe shoes, huaraches, racing flats, hiking flats, and running shoes. |

Merrell Vapor Glove
Best shoes I've had!
March 08, 2013
Reviewer: Victor N from Bergen, Norway
I feel the vapor gloves are an improvement to the Vibram FiveFingers Speed, because they have the same fantastic ground feel, but without the toe pockets. The sole is very flexible, but still have enough protection when you step on small rocks and pebbles. And they're so light and quiet, I often don't make a sound as my foot lands on the ground. I ordered the shoes a size down after hearing from others they're a bit big, and I'm glad I did. Size 8.5 is a perfect fit, although I usually wear size 9. I've read about other Merrell models, that they can be a bit narrow, but that was not a problem for me with this shoe. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ran in so far, and I plan on buying another pair very soon as a backup pair.

Merrell Radius Glove Canvas
Way better looking in person than on the website.

These are great looking shoes. So much so that when I was talking about returning the other shoes I got on the same order, my girlfriend got all worried that I was going to return these.I love the Merrell barefoot shoe line. I don't run in them. I wear them all the time due to a back injury. Walking like I am barefoot is much less jarring on my back than wearing padded sneakers. My only complaint is that they are suede and canvas, so unlike the other Merrell barefoot shoes they can not be washed in the laundry.

Right Shoe Defect

The right shoe had a major structural problem with the seam on the ball of my foot. Couldn't wear them for more than a few steps. Will be returning. Have other NB Minimalist brandshoes and they are fine. Assuming this pair is an just defective.

Keen A86 TR
Very thin soles
December 13, 2012
Reviewer: Zendot from Florida
I really liked the feel of the uppers. They are very light and comfortable. I thought they looked great with jeans. A little weird but that's why you buy them, right? Very light like you are wearing no shoes at all. Unfortunately, the soles are so thin that I could feel the little bump tread on the bottom. They felt like I was walking on marbles. My feet started to hurt after half an hour. Not at all comfortable. Too bad.
