I've been looking for hats that fit my head, are stylish, and are not the standard fedora or ball cap. A friend recommended Bailey of California hats, and when I saw this one in my size, I decided to give it a go.Size-wise, the XXL runs a little bit small. Not enough to say you shouldn't purchase it, but just that compared to another XXL hat I purchased at the same time, this one pinches a little bit. A little stretching out and this one will be fine.The liner is nicely made, with custom printed fabric showing a bit of the company history. For those of you looking for an all-weather hat, it may not be the one for you, as the liner is all fabric. (I can't speak to whether hat liners really *need* a clear plastic piece, though)The company badge is set into the ribbon, so if you're looking to get rid of it for a more time-insensitive look, you'll need some wire cutters.Construction is solid. The felt is sturdy and holds its shape well, especially in the brim. It's a bit lightweight for those looking to do hat juggling, but those hats tend to be specialty items anyway.Style is classic, but a bit odd to the modern eye. If you're looking to do Victorian or steampunk costuming, this hat is an excellent choice. It sets off these outfits perfectly.I would absolutely buy more of this hat if they were available in a wider variety of colors. A proper white rather than ivory is at the top of my list.A recommended item.

I originally bought this in a Medium, which turned out to fit the EXACT size of my head, so it was uncomfortably snug. Returned it (with ease!) and bought the Large, which is just a little big for me; it fits over the tips of my ears but I prefer that to the Medium. The hat itself is absolutely beautiful, lovely lining, and the feather on the side was easy to remove (I didn't really want to wear it with the feather there). This is the first "real" hat I've ever bought (aside from baseball hats) and I love it!
