I was surprised by how well these fit. I have two bad knees and back. Shoes are very important to my quality of life and ability to walk w/o pain. These shoes did the trick. They are light enough and grip the ground well. Completely, happily surprised.

Need to order larger size February 14, 2013

I bought these shoes for my husband for his work. I bought the size he always wears and has worn for years. They were much too short and narrow. These shoes definitely run small. I ordered half size larger and the wide width and they are perfect. They are nice slip resistant and weather resistant shoes for his work. The first day he wore them it poured rain like a monsoon, they never leaked and he didn't slip while working outside. Excellent quality.

The order came as indicated. Shoes are good just needed to break thmin. They are now comfee and serving the purpose for which they were purchased.

Good walking shoe that can pass for a dress shoe February 09, 2013

I walk during lunch at a nearby mall. The shoe handles a little snow or slush on the trip over there without a problem. The shoe is much more comfortable than dress shoes and the plain black color works well with suits. I take a wider width and usually buy NB but these fit just as well.

This is my first and last pair of Avia shoes. Always bought New Balance before. Had read many good reviews of different Avia models, including this one. They felt a little narrow for my wide feet from the beginning, even though they were supposed to be extra wide. Fortunately, they stretched after a couple of months of wearing them twice a week. They are now fairly comfortable, but not as comfortable as New Balances or Skechers. However, they make my feet hot and stinky.
