Celebrated for both its whimsy as well as its sensibility, the Ava Rose Collection is for women of all ages who appreciate classic style with a twist. Quality at a reasonable price, along with thoughtful design, is always a top priority. Ava Rose is designed by Nancy Phan. A graduate of the University of Arizona in marketing and French, Nancy began her career in business development as a trade attache in the fashion division of the French Trade Commission. After spending a number of years working closely with French designers to develop their businesses in the U.S., she decided to pursue the creative side of the industry, transitioning her career from commercial development to design. Several FIT courses in handbag construction and patternmaking later; she bought an industrial sewing machine and turned a corner of her apartment into a very small atelier and launched a line of handmade leather bags. In 2008, Nancy was offered the opportunity to work with Ava Rose Handbags. She was thrilled to start a new adventure and excited by the chance to design for an audience that has now reached an international level. She now enjoys the best of both worlds, designing for Ava Rose Handbags while on occasion crafting hand-made handbags in her New York apartment.
