The Spartan Elite L S is the ultimate running shoe for pronators which features great support, cushioning and the Aura Performance DSS (Dynamic Suspension System) for a more efficient run. The DSS is a fully independent suspension system that is specifically engineered to better accommodate a runner's size and weight.
This unique system also allows the springs to work independently, providing superior stability and more uniform displacement of impact, allowing for an unsurpassed ride. The high level of shock displacement will also cut down on injuries and reduce recovery time between workouts.
Unlike any other running shoes on the market, the DSS cushioning system will not wear out during the life of the shoe so your last run will feel like your first.
Fit:This style tends to run small. We recommend purchasing a 1/2 size larger than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7, we recommend purchasing a size 7 1/2.

I was looking for a supportive shoe and found it in this style. The springs aren't terribly attractive, but they do make my heels feel better...in fact, my whole foot feels better. Yes, do order half a size larger...I had to send back the first pair and re-order. Then the fit was good. The only drawback: I watch where I walk...I don't think I'd care to clean mud or dog droppings from those springs!
