My daughter loves the shoe. I would order a narrow when ordering for a female. My daughter does not wear a narrow width, but we had to send back the regular width for narrow.

I bought my first pair of Birks last month to wear around the house and though I find them truly ugly, they are absolute heaven for my feet. I decided I wanted a pair that I could have my socks on (first pair has the toe loop). So I got 2 more pair, these and a pair with thinner "fancy" straps with an extra soft footbed. OMG, the soft footbed is amazing! It's a must. I love the feel (comfort) of the traditional leather straps so I decided to return these for a combo arizona/softbed which thankfully Shoebuy carries. These are still great, classic, but so much more improved with the soft footbed.

I have multiple pairs of birkenstocks and was looking for a version that was more of a orangy/brown color. The color appears so online but is much darker in reality. Sadly they went back based on color. Very comfortable sandals, excellent arch support but they do run large. Once you know your size you can order with confidence but I would suggest ordering down. I wear a 8 1/2 in all other shoes and a 39 in other European sized shoes, but in Birkenstocks I wear a 38. I have purchased a 39 but the arch and toe bar are not in the correct spot. Make sure to get the right size otherwise they will not be comfortable.

The oiled leather Birks are the real deal always have been, lets hope they continue to be.They feel class and look class. For around a hundred bucks you are as well shod as the best of them.I've been wearing them since 1975 and dont plan on stopping..
