Rubber outsole surprisingly good December 31, 2012

A great boot. Rubber outsole does not detract, though I usually prefer leather. I have bought two of this model in recent months - brown had leather lining, but black had cloth lining.

Bought these boots for my husband for Christmas. I have a pair in Deetan Red which I LOVE! He told me he always wanted a pair of black cowboy boots. He went to a local Western store and found that the 10 fit like a glove! He usually wears a 10 to 10 1/2. He said they have awesome support which is imperative because he is a middle school teacher and is on his feet all day! He can't wait for Christmas morning! I can't wait to here what his Kids say when he goes back to school sporting these black beauties!

I wanted a nice pair of western style cowboy boots and these are perfect. I got the boots in black and it has been great to wear to work with a dress pants or with jeans...but I guess that's also a personal style choice, too. I wanted these boots to wear with everything...and so far they've been great.I actually went to try these on in the store first but ended up buying it on Shoebuy instead. Therefore, I knew exactly what size I needed. The sales person at the store told me that you wanted the boots to have a snug fit and that it'd naturally stretch on its own, so I went with her word and am glad that I chose my size. (I can wear size 10.5 and 11.0 size shoes equally, just depends...Even though 11 felt a little bit better I went with 10.5, and I am glad I did.) I've been wearing regular dress socks with it and it has been fine.When I first got the boots, I actually 'broke it in' on a weekend trip to NYC. Probably wasn't the smartest move on my part because after an entire day of roaming the concrete jungles of NYC, I was actually hurting pretty badly. But on the opposite note, I've had them for a few weeks now and they feel great. I wear them all day and it has not given me any problems since the first few days I got it.All in all I'm very happy with my purchase. I did a lot of research prior to buying it, but I am pleased with Ariat and will probably invest in some other boots. It looks great, feels great, and its value exceeds the cost.

I ordered this boot based on the insole and construction. I think it lived up to my expectations. Leather is soft and supple and the insole provides the comfort and support I look for in a shoe. Overall a great buy.
