I was looking for a sandal that is both sturdy for walking on vacation and attractive. The sandal fits well. I have noticed when I have worn the sandals for a long time, that the buckle pushes down on my foot and felt a little uncomfortable. I also bought a pair in black since they were on sale.

This sandal has many options: interchangeable buckles, adjustable straps (even back of the heel), and the insole is removable and accommodates many types of orthotics easily. I wear either a 3/4 prescription orthotic with a buildup for my pronation or a full over-the-counter arch support customized for my pronation. The insole is so well built that I can opt to wear it in place of my own, with a little tweaking for the pronation. The sandal is well constructed. I have bought 2 other pairs of shoes from Aravon since this purchase. The comfort is comparable to my Mephistos. I am on my feet most of the work day and do a lot of walking. The sandal squeaked with the original insoles, the only reason for not giving it 5 stars. However, applying stick deodorant to the sole and edges stopped the squeaking. It looks nice with everything from skirts to capris to shorts. I bought my normal shoe size and it fits true to size. The adjustable straps created a custom fit, allowing for foot swelling. I plan on wearing these year round.

I was shocked when this shoe arrived and in the middle of the front was a plastic buckle. Never was this detail mentioned. The fit is unique but it works for me.

I like this shoe because of the comfort. the only problem with this particular pair is that it actually "squeaks" when I walk. i've worn it 4-5 times but it doesn't seem to go away.

I was looking for an attractive sandal that has full support with all-around adjustment capabilities. You can adjust these in 4 ways! They have a slight metatarsal support, which allows me to wear them all day. They are extremely light. Also, I didn't want all of my toes hanging out in front(think Teva). And they come with another set of buckles for a different look...what a bonus!
