I purchased these after realizing that a comfortable pair of boots I had were simply not sturdy enough for my 2 km walks to work in the rain and slush of winter. I wear orthotics and have had tremendous luck with Aravon shoes, the Faye shoe in particular with the T-bar in it has been excellent, and decided to try the Greta boots in a whim. I wear a 6.5 D, and from the moment I put my orthotics in and slipped these boots on they have fit like a glove. I wore them nearly daily for about 4 kms from early December until April, and was even able to get away with wearing them with dress pants at work. They have stood up to heavy use with very little wear - including some longer treks in pretty ugly snow conditions. I have no doubts that I will be able to wear them for at least several more winters of heavy use. Excellent quality and value with a clean-lined and very presentable appearance. I am already looking to get another pair just to have for when these do finally wear out - they are that amazing.

The boot is not as attractive as I thought they would be. Very functional. I like them but they are hard to get into. They are made to fit tightly, cannot wear thick socks - only a think trouser knee high. I wear a 9/1/ wide and they fit but if you have thick calves will not.
