Nice Boots But They Run Narrow

These boots are attractive, are made well, and have a light lining. I really WANTED TO WEAR them but they were snug in the foot and wouldn't zipper to the top. They are advertised as "wide" and I ordered the 8.5C; the box said Size 6 (US 8.5) and there was an M printed somewhere near there. I did some size comparisons online and found one site that said UK6 is the equivalent of US8, and another that said British 6 is the equivalent of American 7.5. I suspect the "wide" C is really "medium" overseas. The boots are great but there are some sizing and width issues to solve.

Great boot , nice looking, practical

I got this boot in a 7 wide initially, but I think it runs on the narrow side for a wide, so I exchanged it for a 7 and a half, which worked out with some pads inside. The 7 and a half was looser around the calves, so it's not as fitted, which could be a problem if you have narrow calves.The seven was much tighter stretching around the calves. I usually only wear very comfortable shoes with very little heel, but I was looking for something a little more dressy for work and church. This has a heel, but is still comfortable and practical, as it's waterproof and warm. It only took about a day to break in. At first it was a little stiff around the ankles. I am happy with this boot.

I have purchased this boot before. The only difference is that the boot is now lined for a little more warmth.The boot fits tightly on the calf and is very stylish (I always get compliments), but the real beauty of the boot is that it is gortex. It truly is waterproof, allowing you to walk though the puddles on corners of city streets without worrying about soaking feet. This is not, however, a great boot for snow or very cold temperatures. It is simply not warm enough.

I bought the shorter length boot last year and when I saw there was a longer length, I had to have it. Despite not being able to try them to check for calf width (this style isn't available in Aus), the dimensions stated gave me the confidence to order. They fit my very wide calves which no boot has done before and look fantastic! Unlike leather which creases and eventually looks tired, the gore-tex maintains it's brand new look and is always stylish. These are beautifully warm in winter and are still perfect once the weather warms up. They are essential during rain. I highly recommend these boots and will probably buy a second pair just in case.

I was looking for waterproof boots that looked nice enough to wear to work so I could leave them on without bringing a change of shoes. These boots are elegant enough to wear out for the evening, too, and don't look too fancy to wear by day. They were exactly what I was looking for, and more than met my expectations.
Wears this shoe: to work, out for dinner, on week ends
