Shoes have only been worn once so far, so the true test will be when we take them to Canada and hike the Rockies. They seem like really good quality. Nothing chintzy at all. I have a feeling they are going to be worth every penny. They are comparable to a pair I bought from Lands' End years and years ago that I really liked and held up well.

I have very wide, very small feet with high arches. It is almost impossible for me to find suitable and comfortable shoes. While the smallest size in these shoes is still a bit big, I can get away with it and the shoes fit well. At last I have an adult type shoe that is very comfortable, cushions my feet, is small enough and wide enough to fit and give my toes room so I stop getting calluses and corns. The shoes are light but seem robust so far. My only criticism is that they are not water proof - any chance Aetrex of fixing this in a similar shoe? I walk every day with my Aussie Shepherd dogs, about 3 hrs in pretty rough and steep terrain -so I will be wearing these shoes a lot and plan on getting another pair if they are durable. Can really recommend them for people with problem feet who are active. Also shoes often hit my ankle bone but these are cut really well.
Wears this shoe: walking, hiking, most days except when wet -then have to wear something else

I have finally found a hiking shoe in an extra, extra wide size that is actually attractive. I have rheumatoid arthritis and love to go walking in the woods with my husband. This shoe is comfortable and does not make me feel like I have to walk in gym shoes.
