This boot has the functionality of a work boot, but the look of a dress shoe. Lug sole pattern, all leather vamp & tongue, slip resistant lightweight thermo plastic rubber outsole, canvas covered 3/16" foam, black canvas lining, coated eyelet lacing system and wood shank. Height -- 6"

I bought this as a "street" boot to wear with jeans or cargo pants. What attracted me was that it's one of the very few affordable boots in size 14 and it's not all sissied up with contrasting nubuck trim and embossed logos. I like that it's comfortable and light, the interior is fabric lined (no chafing leather seams), it has an aggressive tread, the laces are actually long enough to tie, and the leather looks like leather and doesn't smell like tires. I don't like that there is zero arch support, it is between a half and full size big/long, the toe box is square and chunky in profile, the leather is flimsy on the sides where it's not reinforced, and the sole is very thick. You'll be at least 1.5" taller wearing these and that's without socks! In the end, I am returning them because they look too Frankenstein-y for casual wear, but I'd recommend them as a work/industrial boot.

I like the style of the boot, however the description is slightly misleading in the sense that it does not look like a dress shoe. To me, the shoe looks like a shortened (ankle high) combat boot with maybe, just maybe, a slight dress shoe look. There is a short break-in period that only lasts a day and the soles have a very nice grip to them. So far I have had them for roughly a month and have been satisfied with my purchase. Also, they look great with jeans, and just be sure to order half a size lower.

I bought it because just like it was advertised; the boot that looks like a dress shoe. That is also what I like about this boot. The none slip sole and ankle support adds some support and safety to my work. Only negative is this is the first work shoe I should got that was the same size as a dress shoe. I will remember this the next time I purchase this shoe. Hopefully the same style will be available.

The boot looks great for relax casual outing with jeans but also provide a business casual with Dockers.
