Features a removable anatomical footbed which cushions and eliminates shock from the impact of walking. Active suspension shock absorber ensures effective protection for the joints, vertebra and spine from damaging shocks and vibrations. Soft latex foam padding prevents pinching and rubbing at the instep and below the ankle. The outsole features the advanced multifuntional GRIP-profile which is highly resistant to abrasion and has maximum grip on uneven or wet surfaces. Bi-lateral stabilizers between the heel and forefoot provide excellent support and effortless comfort.

Fit: This style tends to run large. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size smaller than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7 1/2, we recommend purchasing a size 7.

I now own 3 pairs of black Allarounders. I've been buying them for years and find them very comfortable, great for walking, and stylish in their own way. My last pair will be my "good shoes". The others are for foul weather and everyday chores, walks. They hold up extremely well. The first pair needed new heels, which I must add that I have them in 3 other colors as well. I've relied on Mephisto ever since they were recommended by a friend, many years ago.

I love the versatility of this shoe - dressier than athletic shoes and just as comfortable for walking or even the gym. This is my second pair - I expect I will always have these shoes ready to wear in my closet.

These shoes are light weight but sturdy enough for walking on rough surfaces. Adjustable heel strap is a nice feature. Other reviewers have said the shoe runs big but I would say it is wider than normal but close to expected length. I suggest ordering the size you would normally get for wearing with a good sock. As for color, when I ordered black, the website didn't show it and you should know that it has gray segments so is not all black.

Comfortable, sturdy, kept my feet dry. Walked around Italy non-stop for 9 days. I didn't get a single blister and my feet never got tired!
