These are the only lightweight shoes deep enough to fit my orthotics. They offer lots of support yet are soft and flexible. This is another winner from Mephisto.

I brought this shoe to wear on a European Holiday. I wore this shoe almost everyday from Aug 2008 until Nov 2008. I really love this shoe for walking. It is great for uneven roads and staircases. It was great on a number of hikes. I wore this shoe in 6 countries and this shoe has held up wonderfully. I am now on my second pair. I really like the lighter colors. Now too fond of the dark colors. They adjust really good across the front footbed. There is extra room for cushions if needed.

Overall enjoyed the shoe, instantly comfortable. I have a very high arch so using my orthotics makes the difference.

I think it is an ideal Autumn shoe but it will also be handy for me in the summer months as I like doing things where sadals do not give enough protection . I will wear it with small cotton sockettes in the hot weather.
