I bought these sandals because I had a pair of Mephisto Allrounders hiking boots. I'm not real happy with the small rock catching ability these sandals have. It's not just the catching ability but the fact that once a rock gets between your feet and sandal, it's staying there until you take the sandal off. I'd have to say for sandals, I prefer ECCO.
