Features a removable anatomical footbed which cushions and eliminates shock from the impact of walking. Active suspension shock absorber ensures effective protection for the joints, vertebra and spine from damaging shocks and vibrations. Soft latex foam padding prevents pinching and rubbing at the instep and below the ankle. Easy to handle clip closures combined with hook-and-loop closures mean a sandal with perfect fit capabilities. Bi-lateral stabilizers between the heel and forefoot provide excellent support and effortless comfort.

Fit: This style tends to run large. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size smaller than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7 1/2, we recommend purchasing a size 7.

I love these shoes a little more than my ecco sandals .The only thing is DO NOT wear without socks. Your feet will stink these shoes up bad.

This was my second pair. First pair lasted six years and finally fell apart. Wore them for boating, yard work, etc. Finally too much water.

So far, I have truly been enjoying this sandal. It seems to get more comfortable as it begins to break-in and "mold" to my feet. Traction is quite good under wet conditions. I would recommend this shoe.

I recently purchased my second pair, to store for the future just in case they discontinue the model. Everything about this sandal is worth 5 stars, including durability, comfort, and appearance. EXCEPT for the nylon fasteners. It is a mystery to me why they manufacture such an excellent shoe, then include clips that are virtually impossible to open with one hand, and quite challenging even with two. I know for certain Mephisto can produce excellent fasteners, because they were included on my previous much beloved pair of Allrounder "Rock" sandals (now discontinued).

I bought these to replace my beloved Mephisto Allrounders "Rock" sandals (no longer available), which I wore everywhere they were even marginally appropriate for the last 3.5 years. I climbed Mt. Whitney in them twice, along with many lesser trails & everyday use. These Alligators appear to be of similar style and build quality.Incidentally, my pair of Rock sandals disintigrated all at once, including the uppers, the soles, and even the plastic strap rings. That is a hallmark of outstanding engineering! It makes no financial sense to design a product in which one or more components routinely outlast some others. 5 stars!
