Allen-Edmonds Nashua loafers
By Clark, from San Marcos, Ca | July 10, 2014

I bought my first pair--black & brown--about 15 years ago. These are first quality shoes made in the US. You can dress them up or down with jeans, chinos, etc. They are very comfortable. The minute you open the box, you can see, feel and smell the quality and attention to detail. I'm very happy this style is still available after so many years and that it is still a top quality product. Congratulations A-E!

At last a narrow casual shoe
By Anonymous, from Fresno, CA | June 17, 2014

Very nice shoe. Suitable for casual wear and office. I have a narrow foot (2A) and these fit well.

Excellent dress shoe
By Wicked Awesome Boston Ked, from Boston, MA | May 26, 2014

Equally at home in the office and during a night out with your lady friend, the Strand is probably my favorite shoe from Allen Edmonds. Both the Bourbon and Walnut colors are phenomenal, I personally prefer the Walnut (more casual). Be warned, these are made on Allen Edmond's longest, most narrow last so sizing down a half size and going going a little wider than you're used to is usually advised. However, keep in mind that the leather will, after a short 1-2 week break-in period, stretch out a little bit.

Great formal shoe
By Wicked Slick Ked, from Boston, MA | May 25, 2014

Allen Edmonds is a high quality shoemaker and this is their classic model. Its simple, elegant design works best in a formal setting. For those unfamiliar with AW sizing, the fit on these is a little wonky. Allen Edmonds shoes are made on various lasts and the Park Aves are made on their longest, narrowest last. So, the general recommendation is to go down one half size and go up in width. I'm usually an 11D in sneakers so I wear a 10.5E in these and any other AE shoes on this last (5th Aves, Strands, McAllisters, etc). These are great shoes that are both very attractive and comfortable. The cork soles will form to your feet giving you a customized, very comfortable fit after you break them in. Yes, they're expensive, but they should last you 10+ years if you take care of them.

Inside finish very poor
By Rob, from New Orleans la | May 13, 2014

Inside finish is very poor. Each time i remove shoe the foot lining insert tries to come out. Poor finish plastic interfacing on inside near eyelet area. Not on par with any edmond allen shoes i've ever worn.
