A-E Fifth Avenue December 12, 2012

Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width
These shoes look solidly built. They fit true to size, maybe a bit tight. I always use cedar trees on my shoes and these are not the exception. Good quality and comfort, although not as good as Crocket-Jones. All in all a good buy if you get them at a discount

Park Avenue April 19, 2011

Shoe Size: Felt full size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked
After three decades of military footwear, I needed some quality business shoes. When I took in my pair of (typical "American" brand) for re stitching work, the local cobbler informed me that they were non-repairable, and that what I had was "fake" stitching. He recommended AE for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is that it's repairable. The construction quality is first rate and without exception they are extraordinarily comfortable. I will say that they 'last' on which the Park Avenues are made is designed for a "long, narrow foot," which is easily compensated for by going a size smaller and somewhat wider. Make sure you have them professionally fitted if you're not certain.

As with the rest of my Allen Edmonds shoes, the Fifth Avenue is a great shoe. It fit right out of the box and I wore it the entire day in comfort. The Fifth Avenue deserves the great reputation it has.Shoebuy.com offered me the best deal of all and I will definitely use it again.
