As usual the Allen Edmonds product is true to the quality. I've worn this product for close to 40 years and have never been disappointed!! The Clifton falls right into the family mold and represents this high quality product series.

The Clifton is a more elegant shoe in the leather (so to speak) than its picture lets on. They are sturdy but have an elegant, elongated look. The Clifton is well constructed. Stitching is even, and the leather is of good quality. Mine are black, and are perfect for wearing with business dress. However, these shoes do need need to be broken in. I would recommend a couple of sessions of wearing them around the house for a few hours before they are ready to go out in public. Also, don't forget to give them an initial coat or two of polish to protect them from the start. I plan to buy the Clifton again in light brown sometime in the near future.
