Overall A Good Shoe

These are beautifully made. The toes are a bit pointier than I expected. It also runs a bit more narrow than typical Allen-Edmonds shoes. Becuase it's an ankle boot, it rubs a bit at the ankle, which I suspect will get better as the shoe breaks in and the leather softens.
Wears this shoe: Great with jeans, or slacks such as khakis and corduroys and a sport coat.
Pleased to finally find a man's shoe in narrow!

This boot was purchased as a holiday gift for my son. He is very tall 6'4" and wears a 13N (narrow). Shoebuy was the only on-line store who happened to have this size in stock. The original price was high, however, Shoebuy offered a very generous discount. My son has been satisfied with the shoe and enjoys wearing it.
Wears this shoe: Generally for work and some dress occasions

Note that this is an "AE by Allen Edmonds" shoe. It's made in America, by Allen Edmonds, but it's just not up to the quality standards of Allen Edmonds more expensive shoes. It is cemented together rather than welted, and the sole cannot be replaced through Allen Edmonds' recrafting program. The shoe seems durable and well made. The leather is buttery soft and seems to be of very high quality, and the shoe has a beautiful chocolate-brown lining. The shoe felt a little narrow. The footbed is thickly padded, and the sole is robust and seems to be of durable, high-quality rubber. A fine choice for Shoebuy's price, but not an heirloom like Allen Edmonds' more costly options.

Shoes were unfortunately too narrow and larger than anticipated. I always wear a 10 1/2 D and neither worked with this shoe. Will have to try a 10 E and see if that works

These shoes are very versatile. One of the few styles that look as good with jeans as they do with a suit.
