At 47, I could not figure for the life of me why my husband wanted to purchase a pair of these shoes. He's the regular not too flashy, but not too dull, sometimes gel in hair, mow my own lawn thank you type of guy. But being that he has indulged me with my one weakness (quality shoes) - no crazy 4 inch high, but fashion grabbing - I couldn't! When he opened the box, as a woman "spectator" shoe owner, my eyes popped. This is a high class, high end sophisticated shoe. The weight, the feel, the smell of that leather - and when he placed it on his foot - it got me. He has a wide foot and had no problems with pinching or heel chaffing. I too had to smile. It made his foot look tailored, neat and with the thin stripe on the suit he picked out - it's not over the top. It is a handsome and strong shoe and was worth the wait - Allen Edmonds is to be commended for this. It has the right appeal without being gaudy.
Wears this shoe: Out to dinner , special occasions, etc.
