This was my 2nd pair Aku, and I must say that this is the brand to buy if you like quality boots. I have had these 2 years and have used them in every season. Works great for snow shoes, hiking with a pack, snow blowing, pretty much everything except for driving a stick shift.

This is my second pair, and third pair of Aku's. This boot is the best I have ever had, including all of the other major brands. Great quality, very stable, great fit, and works well as a backpacking boot as well as a day-hike boot.

I bought this boot as a departure from the Lowa Tibet GTX and Lowa Tahoe GTX which I had work faithfully for many years. I found the Utah boot to be every bit as durable, comfortable and supportive. I like the single fold tongue design of the Utah boot much better than the Lowa design. I wear my boots everyday and get a full year's wear out of each pair of these Utah boots in all weather conditions and terrain. The feel good from the moment I put them on my feet. Boots don't get any better than these. Well worth the price.

I love the AKU Utah Lites and the Utah Plus GTXs for the immpeccable Old World Italian Craftsmanship built by people who have been doing this for generations. Like the one-piece tongue, the beautiful lines of the perfect nubuck leather and the attention to all the comfort details seen, and not so obviously seen. I never use the original insole in any boot. I use a Spenco Backpacker insole and sometimes use along with one of Spenco's many Gel insole specific products with the right socks for my intended use for a "real" custom fit. I have over 30 pair of boots, mostly 7 brands and AKU is one of my Favs. Highly recomend!

Works great for hiking in all seasons. Great support, comfort,traction and durability. Excellent for carrying a medium to heavy backpack. Pricey but I would buy them again, or any other aku shoe after trying these.
