I had toe surgery, and was unable to wear any of my shoes for several months due to swelling. I bought these shoes in a size wider than I normally wear and they were wonderful. They are very comfortable, although not at all stylish.

I bought these shoes for my 95 year old mother. They look like orthopedic shoes, which they are. I needed to get an extra wide, even though the shoes we were replacing were only a wide. She found them comfortable, but was frustrated by the double loop of the velcro strap. It made it hard for her to get them on. I will be returning them for that reason. She lives in an assisted living apartment but would like to be able to put her shoes on by herself.

I was able to wear this shoe all day without any problems. I like it with the strap so if my feet swell I can adjust the strap.

Save this stretch shoe for much later than right after foot surgery. February 07, 2011

I bought this shoe because of the word "stretch." But it hasn't been stretchy enough yet to get my swollen, 7-weeks-post-surgery foot into. But my other foot really likes it so I'm keeping it for when my surgery foot swelling subsides enough to wear it. I ordered a wide for the non-surgery foot also, as it has a small bunion,to prevent having surgery on that foot in the future.
