I bought this shoe because I wanted a burgundy pair and the dark red really is burgundy - and because of the sale price. I'm not overly crazy about the patent finish, but that's a personal preference thing. Mules work well for me because I don't have to worry about something fitting my narrow heels. These shoes are comfortable and look good with both jeans and slacks. I think they run slightly large, but it works for me because of the style.
