I bought these shoes for running and working out at the gym. Sometimes I run indoors on a treadmill and sometimes outside on a track. I just run for exercise and not for competition, and these work just fine for me. They have a nice sturdy sole that should last for a while, and the uppers are light-weight and flexible. If you are looking for top performance, you may want something with a lighter and more flexible sole.
