I purchased this boot as a waterproof and cool/colder weather motorcycle boot. This model provides more ankle support that some of the other tactical boots too.I like everything about the boot, although I didn't get a chance to test it's waterproof quality, however there is one little item to note. I wore the boot for about 17 hours a day for three days straight. I realize that didn't provide any break-n time but I developed a "sore" spot just in front of my ankle on the right foot. It seemed odd because it wasn't on a "high" spot like the ankle proper but just in front and above it. I felt inside the boot with my hand and couldn't find anything obvious. I THINK it may be one of the eyelets right around the ankle area that caused this. Again, it seemed strange because I couldn't feel anything through the padding of the boot. Perhaps it will go away with time. I didn't get this "sore spot" on the left side. We'll see what happens. Other than that, this boot is very comfortable, warm and very light! I would buy others in this line.
