I have an average to narrow foot. I like the width of Colombia shoes. These boots were much too wide to be confortable for me.

I had owned some Tac boots before which were a half size larger than normal for me. This time I ordered the boots 'sized to fit'. For that reason I am working with getting a closer fit, and the boots are responding without any pain or blisters of any sort. I have been cautioned to buy boots "a size larger than normal", but I wanted a more snug feel ... I am getting that with the 5.11's while wearing them 9 hours a day / 3 days a week on concrete flooring at a tire store. So far (they are '3 weeks old) I believe these are the best boots I have ever owned, and the side zip is so convenient and very sturdy.

I wanted a slip-on shoe, so tried these. I wear a size 14 and these fit fine. There is plenty of room in the safety toe area. I usually order wide shoes to get enough toe room in steel toe boots. I took a chance on these and they are fine. They are very difficult to slip-on at first, but don't give up. After a couple of days of wearing the boots they are much easier to put on.

I work in an airport with very hard surfaces. This is the best shoe that I have purchased in the last 10 year's. I should have bought 2 pair!!
