Ready for the bad ice

I bought these instead of Yaktrax after reading lots of reviews. They are very well made and definitely allow you to walk on ice, but I find them a little weird to walk on. It seems like I'm walking on cleats, and so I don't walk as naturally. I also find that if I have them on I don't like to walk on bare pavement, so I think I'll probably reserve them for when the roads or sidewalks are mostly covered with snow or ice.Another thing I hadn't realized is that, of course, you can't drive with them, so if I'm going to the park to walk the dogs, I can't put them on until I'm getting out of the car. That's necessary but annoying, as I have to get cold while I'm trying to strap them on (sitting in the driver's seat with my legs sticking out of the car), which I also find a bit cumbersome. Long story short is that they do the job, but I don't think I'm going to use them as much as I had thought. I'll definitely use them when it's really bad outside, but probably won't if it's only kinda bad.

Work as advertised

We had an ice storm just after I received these -- I was able to walk down my sloping driveway on glare ice.Easy to put on -- but fit may be critical. You should size these for the shoes or boots you intend to wear them with. Buy two sizes and return one if you're not sure.
Great ice walkers

I tried other products for walking on ice and they were nothing like the Stabilicers. I had broken my ankle last year on the ice and was determined not to do it again. I feel very confident using these and I experienced no slipping at all. They are easy to put on and take off and they have Vibram bottoms. They are GREAT! I certainly recommend this great product to all.
A must for people living in icy/snowy areas

About a month ago I slipped on my driveway on a patch of ice hiding under a layer of snow. It was painful! Since I purchased the Stabilicers I had no problem walking on snow and/or ice. The metal spikes at the bottom penetrate the ice and increase friction. They are very easy to attach to the shoe/boot as needed and thin enough to carry in my briefcase. They are flexible so I can walk naturally. I wish I found out about the Stabilicers before my accident.

I like its lightweight design for heavy duty performance. I am also impressed with the replaceable cleats.
