The quality of this boot is superb and comfort is unprecedented, for me at least. My odyssey to find the most comfortable yet durable hunting boot that would serve me well on any excursion I may find myself on started a year and a half ago. I have tried Schnee's Beartooth, every Meindel boot that Cabelas sells, Danners, Lowa Tibets (old style), Lowa sheep hunters, Lowa hunters (yes there is a deference),Lowa Camino GTX (which are great boots and I now own 2 pair of them but they aren't a true hunting/backpacking boot), Kenetrek mountain extreme, 3 different kinds of Asolo, 3 different kind of Scarpas, and a pair of Zamberlan's. After all of that I can tell you these are the best of the best. They are expensive but they are worth every penny. Don't waist your money trying to find the perfect boot I have already done that for you. The Lowa Bighorn the boot all other boots wish they could be. Spend the money and try these boots you wont be disappointed.

Very well made high quality shoes. As stated in other reviews best to order one-half size smaller than your regular size. Does take a bit of time to break in. I have worn mine off/on for about 3 weeks and still not quite broken in yet. Given the quality of these shoes I anticipate these lasting a long time.

Mephisto Match
a well designed shoe, with excellent arch support

I have several mephistos (bonito, hike perf, hike) which are all excellent walking shoes. But I didn't know just how different the "match" is. It's incredible. Looks are deceiving; the shoe has an incredibly well designed arch support, making walking a totally new experience. After the first 15-30 mins, your feet adapt to this and it's a real pleasure. Very comfortable fit, and I have EEE feet (note: I went up a 1/2 size, which made the fit perfect for me). These really are comfortable walking shoes. And, I will most likely buy another pair, they're worth the money.
