ara Liv 36080 Not leather?

The shoes I bought were described on the website as black calfskin, but they seem more like a woven bonded material, which I have never seen in an Ara shoe before. They are good sandals, but if you say calfskin, they should be proper leather. The picture looks like leather, but the shoes don't feel or look like it.

I have bought Finn Comfort in the past because they feel so good...especially with my problem feet (bunions and a Morton's neuroma.) They are pricey but worth every penny. I also use the Finn Comfort insoles as an orthotic in other shoes. The shoes never wear out This purchase of the Patra style was more than I expected. I like the lighter color for spring/ summer and they feel like absolute heaven.

These shoes offer great arch support and are well cushioned. They felt comfortable as soon as I put them on. I liked that they have a small heel, rather than being flat. I did have to get a full size larger than I usually wear. I hope that they are offered in more colors this spring. At one point, these came in sand beige with a black sole and heel. I hope they are offered again.
Wears this shoe: I can wear these all day without my feet hurting.

This shoe is very comfortable especially with the soft foot bed. I purchased one size longer then what I wear in open toe shoes and am very pleased with this idea. More room for the toes.
Wears this shoe: I wear the close toe more when it is cold out for more warmth.
