| | About Cowboy Boots: |
|---|
| | | Cowboy boots are a specific style of boot, historically worn by cowboys. Cowboy boots have a high heel, rounded to pointed toe, high shaft, and no lacing. Cowboy boots are normally made from cowhide leather but are also sometimes made from exotic skins such as alligator, snake, ostrich, lizard, eel, elephant, sting ray, elk, or buffalo. |

These boots are pretty perfect. The leather is soft as butter and they fit like a glove. The toe box is wide enough so I can wear the boots all day at work. (Standing for 10 hours)nothing hurts at the end of the day

Sturdy, Tough Boot

I had a pair of western-style slouch boots that were in desperate need of repair. I had to make a decision of whether I wanted to spend the cash to repair them or replace them all together, so I went looking to see if it was worthwhile to just replace them with a brand new boot.I don't own a car, so my shoes need to hold up to lots of walking around. I purchased these with that in mind, since they're boots designed for moving around and not just looking good.Normally I wear a 7.5, but I'd heard that these ran a little big. There was no 7.5 in stock, so I took my chances with the 7. I'm glad I did. The size is absolutely perfect. I have normal-narrow feet, so the width was excellent for me. I also have small calves, so the smaller circumference of the opening was really ideal for me. As far as walking, the shoes are very comfortable, but the shafts are so stiff that they rub against my shins in a slightly painful way. I'm hoping that over time this will stop happening, like it did with the pair I replaced. I assume this is because the leather is so stiff and firm and just needs to soften up.I'm not doing anything more hardcore than walking in these, so I'm not sure what all they can handle. They do hold up well to rain, which is nice here in the tropics. They are pretty stiff in the sole, so don't try to run too hard in these.

Buy a size smaller

They look pretty cute, and luckily I read other reviews and I bought a size smaller than I usually wear. The only problem would be for someone who has a wider foot. It's hard to pull them on, but once your feet are in, they are comfortable. Also they are pretty snuggle on the calf, so they would only work for a person with slim legs.

I love the feminine flair in a western boot. The cutouts allow for coordinating a second color in your outfit.(I get creative)I am in my 50s and my foot is wider than younger person, but still measures medium. I always wear a size 9 and I could not get my foot into the boot so I'm now ordering a 10 and that should work. A younger person whose foot has not spread might not have this problem. I love this boot.
